With the threat of going back to court with my ex-husband, and large bills waiting to be paid off, my then husband and I found out we were going to have a baby. So I got on my knees in the bedroom. I cried, then I prayed to my Father in heaven.
I told my Lord I knew he wanted the bills taken care of because his Word says he doesn’t want us in bondage to anything, according to Romans 13:8. I also told God I knew he wanted this baby to come, because I was on birth control. I shouldn’t have gotten pregnant.
Finally I let my Father know I trust Him, and because my Lord alone is trustworthy according to Psalm 145:13, I believed he would provide a way for us to pay the bills, protect us from court, and prepare us for the baby so His will can be done.
In October 2011, my then husband and I skipped church one morning. I was about seven months pregnant, and worn out. We did our devotions in the morning, and began to clean the basement of our new home. My husband and I bought the home in May, and the previous owner left several things they didn’t want anymore.
As I picked up clutter, I saw something sitting inside an old television console.
That something was a bank bag filled with $3650 in it! We called the previous homeowners to report it, and they let us keep half of it! I bet our heavenly Father was as excited to watch us find his gift to us as a parent is watching her children find eggs on Easter morning!
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17
