Three Dreams

Breaking Out

Mom and I were mingling in a hotel hallway with several other people. In the middle of the hallway, a white pickup was parked. Mom and I jumped into the pickup, her behind the wheel which was on the right hand side of the pickup, as in Australia. I was on the left hand side, which was the passenger’s side. Mom hit the gas and broke through the glass window at the end of the hallway as everyone laughed and cheered!

We landed with a bounce in a soybean field. Exhilarated and laughing, I looked out the window at the crop we were driving on and said, “Oh! We’re in trouble. We’re in trouble. We’re in trouble!” (Always the agronomist!) Mom just laughed. The soybeans were green, but the tops were red like trees getting ready for fall. Finally, Mom came to a stop at the far end of the field, in front of a gravel road. Amused, we got out and joined the people walking back into town on the road. End of dream.

The Key

I was watching myself standing amongst a group of people. We had what looked like an ancient skeleton key, but it was at least ten inches long! There was another group of people chasing us, trying to get the key. I saw muted colors, nothing brilliant, but the friend of mine who was holding the key had white clothes on. End of dream.

The Tar Pits

A man and I were standing on what looked like the large, cement loading platform of a train station. I was wearing a mid 1800’s style dress that was white. Built into the floor of the platform were several large pits, ten feet long, deep and wide. The sunken rooms were lined with black tar and had a black, oily ooze on the bottom. People were in each of the pits, and they were covered in sticky, black ooze from head to toe.

The man with me and I had gotten several people out of some of the pits. Then, we heard a train whistle. The train was parked right next to the platform. I panicked and asked about the other people.

“We can’t leave them!” I cried.

He said if we try to save them all, we’ll miss the train. So, he tossed a nearby ladder into one of the pits. He grabbed my hand, and we jumped on the train as it started to move away from the platform. End of dream.

Over the last fifteen years I have listened to many sermons. I’ve taken notebooks full of notes, as well as studied the Bible and researched information. If you want to know why I’ve interpreted my dreams the following way, I am happy to share resources. To prevent an overly long post, though, I’ll get right to the point. Are you ready? Jesus has the key and we are breaking out and catching the train home!

Many have argued that the word “rapture” is not in any translations of the Bible. True, we don’t see the word, but neither do we see the word “trinity”. Still, we use these words to explain the truths displayed in the Bible. For example, in Galatians 4:6, all three members of the godhead are presented, even though the word “trinity” is not there. In the same way, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, describes the coming of Christ to take believers away with him, both living and dead. I know I’ve used this verse before, so forgive me for being repetitive, but our Lord also told us in the last days he would pour out his Spirit on people, revealing himself further to them (Acts 2:16-18). I don’t know why I have found such favor with the Lord as to receive dreams, but I am immensely thankful! Our heavenly Father wants to communicate with us. He doesn’t want us caught off guard. He wants us home with him in heaven. So, are you ready?

If you had a calendar with a date marked on it, and you knew that date was the end of your time on this earth, what would you do? Would you act differently toward others? Would you prepare property and assets for someone else? Would you throw up your hands and not do anything? Would you try to find purpose or figure out what comes after this life? We don’t have an exact date. However, we do have a loving Lord who cares about us…all of us. It’s hard for me to grasp, honestly, but I have to make myself remember God doesn’t want to save just me. He wants to save the greedy elite. He wants to save the illegal immigrants. He wants to save the founder of artificial intelligence. He wants to save the headstrong leader of our country, but he also wants to save the babies, the school children, the single mothers, the happily married couples, and the older folks who think the world has gone to pot. He wants to save us all, but he can only do so much.

God sends a message in multiples to impress upon his servants the urgency of the message. I don’t know when, where, or how he will return. Yet, I know I am not so significant as to think I am the only one receiving messages about the coming of Christ. This post is definitely not intended to create fear. In fact, we have to reject fear with all our might, because fear is the very thing that feeds our enemy. Instead, let’s make a decision and get prepared. If you have not yet done so, accept the one true God as the Lord of your life, and ask him to forgive you of your sins and wash you clean in the blood of Jesus. A few Bible verses are listed below to help guide you through that process. Most importantly, though, God just wants to hear your words, sincerely, from your heart. There’s no perfect prayer except the one from your heart.

It’s time. No more delay or excuses. Let’s repent of our wickedness. Let’s ask him for boldness to speak to our family and friends lovingly. Let’s reject our differences and the spirit of religion that attempts to divide us. Let’s jump in the pickup, join the man with the key, climb out of the tar pit and let’s help each other get ready to catch the train!

Verses to guide you to surrender in Christ:

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! Psalm 51:2

And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us, and he made no distinction between us and them, having cleansed their hearts by faith. Acts 15:8

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ Matthew 25:21
