Sometimes the world feels like it’s spinning out of control. Sometimes my family is so busy we see each other only in passing. Our mighty God not only wants us to study and worship, he also wants us to rest. So I present to you today three simple answers to prayer. May they build your faith and help you to grow!
Prayer 1:
My husband, our children and I were planning on traveling to see his sister’s family and go snowmobiling. The weather report did not look favorable as high winds and lots of snow were predicted. We prayed for protection.
God answered:
A blizzard blew in and we felt led to stay home so we didn’t become stranded on the interstate. Others who had traveled told us later they were stuck from a couple of days to several days waiting on roads to be cleared.
Prayer 2:
My husband caught a cold virus and told me I was going to get it next. I told him I would not be getting sick, and recited a couple of Scripture verses that tell how we are protected and healed in Jesus’ name (Psalm 103:2-3 and 1 Peter 2:24).
God answered:
Guess who did not catch a cold (ha, ha, ha)!
Prayer 3:
A customer came to our shop to have a replacement bumper installed on his pickup. When he arrived, we discovered his pickup was a sub model that would not fit the bumper we thought it would.
God answered:
We happened to have the bumper our customer needed on hand, and it was not sold!
He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless…
